Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the former President of the World Medical Association (WMA), has strongly refuted claims circulating in a video clip that he has developed a natural remedy for hypertension and erectile dysfunction.
In a recent statement, Dr. Enabulele, a distinguished Chief
Consultant Family Physician and former President of the Nigerian Medical
Association, addressed the public regarding the misleading video circulating
online.
The video, falsely claimed that Dr. Enabulele has developed
a natural remedy for hypertension and erectile dysfunction, offering
substantial financial rewards to those who do not benefit from these alleged
treatments.
He expressed his concerns over the misinformation, stating,
“I have been inundated with several calls from eminent personalities regarding
a video clip making the rounds on the internet, sponsored and aired by various
unscrupulous individuals and organisations, alleging that I invented a natural
remedy for the cure of hypertension and erectile dysfunction.”
Dr. Enabulele categorically denied these claims, stating,
"I did not create or invent the said natural solution to cure hypertension
and erectile dysfunction as credited to my person."
He further clarified that he had no involvement in the
production of the video or any assertions regarding creating such
remedies.
Additionally, Dr. Enabulele expressed unfamiliarity with the
entities mentioned in the video, stating, "I do not know the entity alluded
in the video or any other entity in that regard."
The former WMA
President also refuted any claims of having interacted with notable
personalities, including actor Pete Edochie, regarding these supposed
treatments.
Describing the situation as the work of "scammers,
fraudsters, and impostors," Dr. Enabulele urged the public to disregard
the misleading advertisement, which he labeled as AI-generated and unfounded.
He reassured that relevant authorities are investigating the
matter to hold the perpetrators accountable.
Dr. Enabulele reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality
healthcare based on evidence-based medicine and best practices, stressing the
importance of integrity in the medical profession for the benefit of Nigerians
and citizens worldwide.
